An Exploration In Pottery Painting

Friends – This fun commission piece was made 27 years ago for a special client who wanted to treat herself to a custom creation. Illustrating within a circle and implementing the glazing process in this design ignited a passion for creating within a shape and exploring translucent colors. I was delighted with how this piece turned out, and I believe that many elements that make the style I paint currently came out of my exploration of pottery many years ago. Hugs! Deana (Dee-na)
